Alexander Cherny (b. 1980) is an iconographer and church mural painter. He received his initial training from his father, Sergei Cherny, and later worked in the workshops of renowned iconographers Alexander Sokolov and Alexander Lavdansky. He has also collaborated with masters Alexey Vronsky and Fyodor Streltsov.
Since the early 2000s, Alexander has been engaged in both icon painting and monumental church decoration. His works can be found in churches and private collections across Russia, Ukraine, the United States, Australia, Spain, Slovakia, North Macedonia, and other countries.
